Chantal Blackburn
Chantal Blackburn's work focuses on the notions of memory and locations. Her paintings and drawings explore more specifically the relationship to souvenir. Inspired by family archives as well as commonplace objects and locations, her research proposes ambiguous narratives that question the fine line between reality and fiction.
Of Quebec-Peruvian origin, Chantal Blackburn moved to Quebec after living in various Latin American countries. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in visual and media arts at Laval University. Her work has been presented, among others, at the Galerie des arts visuels in the City of Quebec.
