Le projet Borderline s’intéresse à la place des femmes dans les villes et les environnements hyperindustrialisés et aux notions multiples d’errance. Le titre est en référence à l’état limite, au désordre des limites et à l’idée de frontière. Le plaisir d’errer dans les rues a longtemps été associé à une activité masculine. La flâneuse c’est aussi la vagabonde, la clocharde, l’émigrée, la réfugiée, la déportée, la randonneuse, la marcheuse enjouée. Celle qui dévie des sentiers tracés, celle qui défriche son propre territoire. Ces explorations à la fois politiques et critiques touchent aux notions de marginalité, d’exclusion sociale et de déracinement.

Work from the Borderline series
The Borderline project focuses on the place of women in cities and hyper-industrialized environments and the multiple notions of wandering. The title refers to the borderline state, the disorder of boundaries and the idea of the border. The pleasure of wandering in the streets has long been associated with male activity. The stroller is also the vagabond, the tramp, the emigrant, the refugee, the deportee, the hiker, the playful walker. The one who deviates from the marked-out paths, the one who clears her own territory. These explorations, which are both political and critical, touch on notions of marginality, social exclusion and uprooting.
